Test services for third party certifiers

Tests carried out in the accredited laboratories of the Hohenstein Institute often serve as the basis for third-party certification.

Registered under the no. ZLG-AP-312.10.25, we are a recognised test centre for medical products, accredited by the Central Authority of the German federal states for Health Protection Regarding Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (ZLG) in accordance with directives 93/42/EWG1, 90/385/EWG2 and DIN EN ISO/IEC 170253.

As an independent test laboratory identified under the CPSC number 1060 we are authorised to carry out a variety of individual tests relating to compliance with the specifications required by theCPSC for products imported to the USA.

As a European notified test and certification centre no. 0555 for personal protective equipment we assess compliance with EC guideline 89/686/EWG.

On behalf of the German Certification Association for Professional Textile Services we carry out external checks at commercial laundries. The operational audits and laboratory tests are a prerequisite for the award of the RAL Quality Certification Mark 992 (RAL-GZ 992) for Professional Textile Services .

As a member of the International OEKO-TEX® Association, we carry out tests for harmful substances on the basis of which companies can have their products or production sites certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, 100plus and 1000.
