Award of the Otto Mecheels medal 2011

On 14 July 2011 the Otto Mecheels medal for special services in science, industry and business was awarded at Castle Hohenstein for the second time since 2009. Prof. Dr. Stefan Mecheels, Director of the Hohenstein Institutes in Bönnigheim, inaugurated the non-remunerated award in memory of his grandfather, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Otto Mecheels, who founded the international Textile Research Centre in 1946.
