The OEKO-TEX® standards are updated annually to stay ahead of global regulations, incorporate new scientific health data and the latest production methods. Every January, OEKO-TEX® publishes updates to the standards as well as the test criteria and limit values – in line with consistent consumer protection and the sustainability of textiles and leather products.

Following a transition period, all new regulations go into effect April 1.

Overviews of the most important changes are summarized below for each product, in this January 14, 2021 webinar and in this summary presentation (pdf).

Highlights:

  • Recycled materials certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®
  • New hangtag for MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX®
