As one of the world’s leading textile research and testing laboratories, we are pleased to announce the establishment Hohenstein Institute America, Inc. in response to our rapidly growing U.S. customer base. Hohenstein America offices will be located in Elon, North Carolina and will provide in-country support to U.S. textile products manufacturers, sourcers, and retailers.

Our new office in America is an investment – a continued commitment - to our U.S. customers. The U.S. market drives the global textile industry and establishing the U.S. office is a natural extension of our worldwide network. Hohenstein America will provide U.S. companies with personal service and easy access to Hohenstein’s full range of product development, testing and certification services.

Globally, Hohenstein Institute offers state-of-the-art product development and testing for textile products such as clothing, home textiles, upholstery, protective apparel and equipment, and medical textiles. We provide materials testing and certification for textile safety, UV protection, antimicrobial effectiveness, FR performance, and many other technical features. Comparative and competitive product testing services are also available. As a founding member of the International Oeko-Tex Association, Hohenstein is a leading provider of the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification, the international standard for safe textiles, and is certified by the Consumer Products Safety Commission as a third-party, independent laboratory for CPSIA compliance verification.
