Our interdisciplinary project teams are involved in a wide variety of publicly funded research projects focused on creating new areas of application and developing innovative product ideas for the optimization of textiles and clothing. Hohenstein chooses projects that will advance functionalization, product performance, bio-economy and environmental technologies.
As an industry-focused research institute, we place a strong emphasis on practical solutions. We transfer our knowledge to companies immediately so they can build on our research findings and derive useful innovations to create new market opportunities.
In particular, small and medium-size enterprises that do not have their own research and development (R&D) departments can benefit from the results of our research and collaborate with us to create targeted product developments (for instance, through the “Central SME Innovation Program” (ZIM)).
