Don't miss the presentation by our Hohenstein expert Dr. Bianca Wölfling on the topic of Performance & Sustainability: Date: Tuesday, 29.11.2022 | 2:00 - 2:25 p.m. Venue: Sustainability Hub (Hall B2, Future Lab)
Performance and Sustainability – new approaches Whether comfort properties or manufactured with sustainability in mind - modern textiles offer a wide range of functions and properties and must also meet product responsibility requirements. Hohenstein meets the current challenges in the textile world. The product performance of clothing, especially sports and outdoor textiles, can be tested and classified using the test methods of the DIN CEN/TR 16422 standard. The underlying tests are ideal for characterizing the thermoregulatory properties of clothing layers depending on the use case. This is the basis for the Hohenstein Performance Index (HPI). In addition, the newly developed DIN SPEC 4872 will in future provide a standard for determining the amount and type of textile abrasion during laundry care. In addition, the biodegradability of microfiber discharge is analyzed and the potential ecotoxicological impact is assessed.
