Test Criteria
The compression and pressure profile of compression textiles for sports and leisure are measured using the HOSYcan test device according to DIN SPEC 4868.
To determine the compression of a material or garment, it is stretched to its specified circumferential dimensions. The compression and compression curve are calculated along the entire length of the test sample based on the force values measured when stretched.
The pressure values can be assigned to compression categories, making it possible to objectively compare and evaluate different samples.
